In order to successfully sell or invest in commercial real estate you must have a firm grasp of basic commercial real estate financial concepts and the ability to effectively analyze the commercial real estate transaction.  This three and one-half hour course will explain basic commercial real estate financial concepts and how to effectively and efficiently use the HP 10B-II calculator to begin to analyze real estate transactions. In this course, participants will learn how to operate the many financial functions of the HP 10B-II calculator.  This course is designed for beginning commercial practitioners who want to expand their commercial financial real estate knowledge and skills.

       This course will be taught by Byron Smith, Sr., Esq., CCIM, CRB, senior instructor, CCIM Institute Faculty.

Please bring the HP 10BII calculator to class.  The calculator can be purchased at Office Depot

Registration begins @ 8:30 - 9:00 am

No registration is accepted without payment.  No refunds for no shows or cancellations which are less than three business days before class.  Registrations may be cancelled (by written notice faxed to 1-866-485-8193) three business days prior to course start date for a refund less the cancellation/administrative fee.   • Compounding and discounting and their application in the commercial real estate industry
  • Commercial real estate mortgages and the calculation of the various mortgage loan components
  • Creating an amortization schedule with the HP 10BII calculator
  • Calculating the present value of future cash flows
  • Internal rate of return, what it is and how to calculate it
